Sample Letter to Hon. Darrell Issa

Dear Congressman Issa,

Our family is grateful that you have advanced HR 472 to both define Residential Recovery Facilities as distinct from Sober Living Homes and to enable cities to regulate the character of neighborhoods.   Please move HR 472 forward with timing that enables the bill to become law.   While the FHA already indicates that a landlord may discriminate in housing against people whose criminal background might affect the safety of others, it is important that the bill clarify a distinction between law-abiding recovering addicts and those who are active in the court system or who have significant histories of crimes of endangerment.  Thank you for taking this important stand on a national level.
