Sample Letter for Candidates for SJC City Council

Dear Candidate for City Council,

I wanted to let you know that our family is very concerned that our city do everything it can to contribute toward the positive regulation of congregate care in San Juan Capistrano.  Too often, unscrupulous providers take advantage of people seeking residential care.  We would like to see a census conducted of all residential congregate care in the city, and we would like to see an anti-concentration regulation put into place to prevent neighborhoods from turning into ghettos where the disabled can no longer enjoy the same privileges we do.  We want to be sure that regulation treats everyone fairly.

San Juan Capistrano also needs a moratorium on Treatment Centers moving in; with 15 licensed Treatment Centers in San Juan, we have enough.

Our family urges you to take a strong stand on these issues.

Sincerely,
