Subject: Support AB 1090 (Davies)
Dear Committee Staff,
Our family is writing in support of AB 1090 (Davies). The Chief Deputy State Auditor's report released on October 24 revealed two critical pieces of information. First, Orange County has more small SUD treatment facilities than any other county in the state. Second, DHCS is not completing its investigations in a timely manner, leaving vulnerable recovering addicts at the mercy of shady operators. AB 1090 is only a pilot program to add one more investigator dedicated to Orange County. It costs the state nothing because the county will pick up the expenses. This is a no brainer. Legislators should support making recovery in Orange County safer.
Thank you.
